Sustainability and Net Zero Lead

Tezeta is our Sustainability and Net Zero Lead, a role created to ensure that, as we grow, our sustainability journey and credentials are right for us, for our clients, the environment, and the communities we operate in.
Tezeta brings more than 15 years of sustainability experience in the construction industry, including at Buckingham Group Contracting, where she was Carbon Lead, seven years of experience with Mace, including Heathrow projects, and a further 14 years with Laing O’Rourke.
As Sustainability Lead, Tezeta provides specialist environmental and social value support of on-going operations and new developments, assists in maintaining conformity with ISO 14001, and compliance with environmental requirements, and leading the sustainability agenda and Net Zero strategy.
Tezeta’s recent work included a £1.5m blast protection project, updating the cargo tunnel, driving cleantech initiatives and stakeholder engagement at Heathrow, and continuously sharing her knowledge with colleagues, providing ongoing sustainability construction training and development to implement environmental compliance.
Her work has also been recognised externally, with her leadership of Mace’s aviation business unit team achieving the Sword and Globe of Honour Award (5-star audits in HSE management), announced as the Clean Vehicle Partnership Champion 2019 in recognition of significantly improving company emissions, as well as winning a Community Engagement Award in 2017 for her work to restore the biodiversity a local Wildlife Trust meadow.
