David Lane

David leads our Commercial function, shaping strategy, strengthening client relationships and driving long term business performance. With more than 40 years of commercial expertise across construction and civil engineering, he brings deep sector knowledge and a pragmatic approach to delivering results.

He is highly skilled in developing and empowering commercial teams, creating environments where people can thrive, collaborate and contribute to a profitable and sustainable business. Known for his realistic and experience-driven view of risk, David has a proven ability to recognise when to intervene, guide negotiations and support successful client outcomes.

Beginning his career as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor with William Cowlin and Son in 1984, David built his expertise from the ground up. He progressed to director level at John Sisk and Son and has spent more than 25 years in the position shaping commercial strategy and leading high performing teams.

Bringing a balanced blend of strategic vision, practical insight and a commitment to long term partnerships, David plays a key role in strengthening our commercial capability and supporting our continued growth.
