Andy Heyes

Andy was appointed Managing Director at Sweet Projects in March 2023, after joining in 2022 as Commercial Director. He is responsible for more than 100 personnel across a dozen locations in the UK, full pre-construction and operational activities, and has already overseen a strong growth of £60m / +100% turnover since joining the business.

With a wealth of industry expertise, including director roles at Real South West, Sir Robert McAlpine, David Wilson Homes and eight years as Commercial Director at Skanska, leading major healthcare builds (including a £1.4bn PFI contract in Sweden, the largest ever undertaken in the country), as well as complex defence and hospital projects, and a ‘class 100’ high-tech UK water-fabrication facility.

Andy’s background working on global detailed, diverse projects brings an unrivalled amount of insight. From high-spec residential projects requiring consistent stakeholder engagement, to multi-million pound, state-of-the-art healthcare projects with rigorous phased handovers and programme requirements, complexities associated with infection control, bespoke contractual arrangements and detailed forecasting, Andy leads from the front, and knows first-hand how important trust and communication are in our industry.

Andy is passionate about bringing the next generation of construction experts through, and creating a safe, supportive culture for all colleagues – leading on a training and development scheme, and embedding the values of Sweet Projects through everything we do.

Andy is also a Member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Building.
